A very useful skill is the ability to know by heart the

notes of the various chords, scales and arpeggios.

Here’s a quick test:

How quickly can you say out loud the notes of the

C#m7 Arpeggio?

If answering takes you more than 10″, you should get this

handled – soon. Ideally, the correct answer should be

almost instant – to be even usable in a musical situation

it should be around 2-3 seconds or less…
